Welcome to my
Blogsite!
We took to the streets of Chicago for this fun photo session. These girls are like family to me… their mommy, Farah, (aka Farf) is my very best friend. I’ve known them since 5 minutes after they were born and think they are two of the most amazing children I’ve ever met…. so here are their photos. I had to wait and wait and wait to share them because (for once) Farah wanted to keep them a secret until her cards were sent out (New Year’s Cards)… I think it took every bone in her body to do that…but it was worth it when everyone was so surprised and loved the cards! ENJOY
I wanted to do something fun with the kids and Santa this year… Ryan has never really believed in Santa (he’s my thinker)– and Ella is 100% a believer (she’s my dreamer)… so I wasn’t sure how this would go. Ryan said he’d know for sure if he was real when he pulled on his beard (see below). I don’t think he was convinced, but he pretended for the first 15 minutes– and then Ella talked Santa’s ear off for the rest of the hour. Santa was ADORABLE… and so sweet with the kids. The sun was going down, so the light kept changing– and we got some very cool images. Thanks to my dad for being my “second shooter”. Surely, some of these images are his since we kept switching cameras. ENJOY:
It might be my favorite time of the year… and unfortunately, it still feels like summer in Dallas (well… until today when it finally started to cool off). So… I love going to chicago in October or November to enjoy the changing colors and wear my cute boots.
I have photographed this family many times– and love them! The twins are just a week or so older than mine, so I relate a lot to their lives! This was a quick session… but we got what we wanted! ENJOY:
The timing of this session worked out perfectly since Arthur was born ON his due date– two weeks before I was to arrive in Chicago. Two weeks is pushing the timeframe for “newborn” pics because they are not quite as sleepy… but my trusty assistant (aka my sister) used her baby whispering skills and got him to sleep towards the end of our session. He was quite a little peanut and his parents are madly in love with him… along with his doggie, Charlie, who kept licking and loving him! ENJOY:
