My sister just had her baby (see posts below), but when I saw the topic for the “I heart faces” contest this month I had to enter this one! Such love. . . and such a beautiful baby was brewing in there! ENJOY!

Sweet Skyler. . .

My niece, Skyler Susan, was born yesterday (2.12.12— what an awesome birthday!) I flew into Chicago early in the morning after missing the last flight out on the 11th. We thought I might actually miss it– but Skyler had other plans. She kind of liked where she was. So my rockstar of a sister labored for almost 24 hours and pushed for almost three hours (with NO drugs). I was truly impressed with her strength (although– you do remember her doing yoga while being 8 months pregnant??) She was incredible— and out came this precious baby with a FULL head of dark hair. I love her to pieces… My mom’s birthday is today– so she got an amazing gift of a 3rd grandchild as her most favorite present! Happy Birthday, mom. We love you!

No words to describe how much I love these two little monkeys. Took a few bribes and a lot of patience to get some shots of them today. . . but Ella was already getting dressed up for the Daddy-Daughter-Dance, so I knew I had to make it work. And it did. ENJOY!

Baby Charlie. . . {NYC/DFW Newborn Photographer}

What can I say about my new nephew, Charlie? He is A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E…. and just the sweetest little thing at over 3 weeks old. He was a baby we have all waited a long time for… so I was so happy to fly to NYC to photograph him in this early, cuddly, lovey-dovey stage. He was WIDE awake when we first started (but unlike many newborns) he made awesome eye contact with my camera and was content to be on my soft blanket just looking around. Then he was fed… and he didn’t wake up again for about 3 hours (Long after the photos stopped!). I have three new nieces/nephews in three months… and then a few more babies being born that I will love forever too– so this will be a fun start to 2012! ENJOY—and remember to pin and like any of these photos that you LOVE!

This little sweetie is my son’s teacher’s new baby. He is the smallest newborn I have ever photographed. . . and he was a breeze. He just liked to be swaddled… but I could fool him with a few of my secret moves– and he would settle into his new position quite quickly. Loved meeting him. . . and his daddy. Such an adorable little family. ENJOY:

I took photos of this sweet little newborn last week. . . I just loved it. He did not wake up the entire time I was there (and his parents were surprised). Just call me the baby whisperer. He’s such a doll. I also love when parents have things they want to include in their photos. They are a big hunting family, so they had that adorable moose throw… and the baseball glove was Cayden’s Grandpas. How cute is that? Anyway. . . ENJOY!

Yes… I have been a little M.I.A. this week and last on my blog. But if you’ve been on Facebook, you’ve seen some pretty Mama’s and some cute babies! Another Pretty Mama…. {Frisco Maternity Photographer}

Yes… another one. So many pregnant mamas and their soon-to-be-born babies are coming my way– and I L-O-V-E it! Maternity sessions are so much fun because they are meant to solely document the excitement the couple has for what is about to happen to them. I remember when I was pregnant not wanting anyone to take my picture– but now I look back at those shots and smile. First, I can’t believe my belly could stretch that much (yes… almost 12 lbs of baby is a lot of baby)… and Second, I think about how I had no idea what was about to come…the good and the bad!) Anyway…I love doing maternity– especially when the couple is this cute! And I know that the photos I take will be cherished forever as the memory of the anticipation you feel. Enough blabbering… here are the photos. I hope you love them… and can’t wait to meet the little guy! ENJOY!
