I’ve known this guy forever… and I mean FOREVER. Pretty much went through all of my childhood knowing him and being friends with him. I have so many funny memories that include Damien from elementary all the way through high school (and yes, to all my Facebook friends– he was in the band!). Now he has an amazingly beautiful family– three kids and a very cool wife. He’s a principal at a local highschool– (which still cracks me up a little bit)… so…Life doesn’t get much better!
Here is a preview of your pictures! So glad we all got to hang out again today! Your kids are so sweet and polite. You both are doing such a great job! I hope the “slumber” party is going well over there and Mandie gets some sleep tonight!
PS… can you guess where he played football in college? Mandie was so thrilled about the outfit change!

I have had a bunch mini-sessions and a few full sessions, so I’ll try to post a few from each over the next couple days! We are heading to another cottage on Lake Michigan on Wednesday, where I won’t have internet or a computer… so there won’t be too much work going on then (except for taking pics for a few people– and of course, capturing my two four year olds enjoying my favorite spot on earth!)
My mini-session in August back in Texas is completely full. I will not be having any more mini sessions before the holiday minis I always offer, so if you are interested in photos, but don’t need a full session I would suggest getting your friends together for a “playdate” session! I’ve done quite a few of them in the past year and they are always a blast and always result in awesome photos!
Anyway… here are some shots of some cute kids who came my way last week! Their eyes and their smiles… so adorable!

This picture I took of my daughter tonight makes me want to cry for some reason… she was watching the corn blowing and actually ok with me taking her picture (which isn’t very common these days). We are having such a great time in Michigan that I don’t want it to end and I don’t want my babies to grow up so quickly. I’ll be making this into a canvas.. somewhere big. Love her.

The first of the Michigan sessions… and this one is LONG overdue. The grandpa of these two boys was going to fly me to Michigan from Texas for newborn shots of little Brennan (5 months ago). We couldn’t work out our schedules to make it happen when he was actually a newborn, so we took some photos now since I’m in town and “grandpa Phil” is going to buy them a ticket to Texas to come see me! (not sure he knows this yet… but that is their Mama & my plan!)… I photographed Logan last year– and I’m sure you remember him. He’s so cute. His little brother is equally as cute and super sweet and smiley. Love them (and also love their Mama, who I have known since I was about 2 days old and released from the hospital… she is MUCH older (18 days).
ENJOY… and look for Logan & Brenna’s new cousin (born yesterday… name TBD) on my blog soon! Love when newborns are born where I am!
Yes… I’m coming back to Chicago in October, but only doing a handful of sessions since it is a quick trip. Email me now if you are interested! October is the BEST time to have holiday pictures done…. so think about it early!
Here is the final Chicago baby. I did his photos when he was a teeeeny tiny baby and got one shot that his mom swears will always be her favorite photo– I wish I had that file with me in Michigan to share with you. So, I’m hoping to add a 2nd and maybe 3rd favorite to it with the pics we got this session! He is still a cutie– but a TAD bit faster this time! :) I am not sure he sat still fore more than 20 seconds. However, I worked my magic and got some adorable shots!

Here is one more session I had while in Chicago. Thanks for being patient with me… the final one will be soon (promise, Amy!)… These girls were SO easy and fun… had a great time. And the oldest is the first child EVER who has not taken a lollipop! Imagine that!

I am SO SO SO sorry to all the families who have been patiently waiting for this post. The 2nd part (with the other families) will be this week! Promise. My vacation has gotten away from me… and I forgot how much work having two four year olds at a lake can me (and exhausting), so by the time we get off the lake, in the shower, fed, read to, tucked in and there is finally a moment of quietness– all I want to do is sit on the deck with my parents and take a deep breath!….
But… I had a great day of mini-sessions before we got to Michigan (while we were in Chicago where we were SUPPOSED to see the U2 concert, but instead will be back in 2011 for it… so if you missed out on these sessions, there is always next year!). I had lots of cute kids and some great moms (and grandmas) there to help at the shoot! SO… enjoy and I’ll be sure to tell you all when the albums are ready (but at this rate… it will probably be in August after we return to Dallas!).
Sidenote: Can’t get the pictures to look quite right on this computer that isn’t mine… not sure if it is the screen or the internet. Anyway, I’m going to post them because they still are adorable, just not looking how they do in photoshop once I post them to the blog… hmmm?

Ruby is model-esque… and so is her sister… but Frances wasn’t quite so thrilled to be in the pictures. However, I think I captured them well– and love the shots with Mama– one perfectly adorable and the other perfectly real! :) Enjoy:

We had a beautiful morning for this very special photo shoot. The Mama-to-be is my cousin, Molly…. we grew up in the same town and shared so many fun things together growing up! It’s so amazing that she is pregnant– and even more so that she is also having twins. Two boys! How fun will this house be? And… how beautiful is this lady?
