My kind of town…

Chicago is.

And Ella LOVES the big city.  I have been wanting to photograph her alone in this outfit for a few months… but just have not had the time.  Aunt Kiki took Ry for 20 minutes so I could take Ella around the block… and this is some of what we got.  I have 50 of these shots in my favorites folder, so it was quite a success!

Still in Chicago– will be back next Monday.

On vacation…

Hello!  I will be on vacation with my kids until Sunday, June 14th.  I’ll have some access to email, but not as often as normal.   I have a few sessions while I am on our trip, so I will try to post some previews here for my wonderful followers!  :)  And… what is a post on a photography blog without a photo?   Here is a four week old little peanut (Baby Madi)… enjoying the orange flowers on her orange pillow.  Love her blue eyes in the 2nd shot.

Two brown-eyed beauties…

These two have the biggest, brownest eyes I think I have ever photographed.   They were so cute and really easy (even though Dad might not have thought so!)!   I had fun watching the 2.5 year old taking batting practice with his dad, and his little one year old sister enjoying her first lick of a lollipop!!  They were really so great to be around… almost like a playdate, but without my kids!  :)  We had some perfect spring-like weather too– beat the heat by about 30 minutes!  Wish that would be the case all summer…. here are these two cuties:

Beautiful Belly…

I loved meeting these two– and we had a perfect day to photograph them.  Not too hot yet that morning, and NOT windy or rainy like it has been so frequently recently.  These two were so laid back and fun to work with– little Lucy, who is growing and hanging out in her Mama’s belly, is one lucky lady.

A few days before their session I spotted the most beautiful field of orange wild flowers.  I was hoping they’d be game to head there at the end of their session.  Not only were they game, but Erin had the most perfect outfit (and necklace) to go along with the feel.  The shots from that field are by far my favorites!
