Say “Cheeeeeeese!”

Anyone who has had a photo session with me knows that I never say that– and highly encourage parents not to say it either (unless you like those horrible fake smiles that follow that word!)  :)   So…. I thought this shirt was too funny– and had to get it for my Ry-guy.   My twins take their pretend cameras EVERYWHERE… and take “pictures” of everything and everyone.  They often use my “tricks” to try to get me to look at their camera– which totally cracks me up.  These three pictures were taken while we were waiting for our lunch at a local hamburger joint…. lighting wasn’t great for the rocking chair shots, but I couldn’t resist.  He was taking a picture of me while I was taking a picture of him.  Might have to frame it!!

Another sweet newborn!

This little tot was about 10 days old when I first met him.   He is a sweet little angel.,,but a little camera shy the first time I went to their house, so we had a 2nd shoot two days later– and got all the pictures we could possibly need.  My favorites are with the polka-dot blanket– and his parents will likely remember that part of the session forever.  Mama had to do some helping out!  :)   I’m debuting my 2nd special baby teacup— boys like tea too, right?  :)

Gorgeous little girls…

I just love a family with two girls– makes me remember my childhood– and all the drama you get with two girls!   :)  How cute are they?  We had the most beautiful morning to take these pictures– gotta love spring in Dallas– even though it lasts about as long as one deep breath.  I know their Mama is dying to see these (they are a Father’s Day Present for her husband), so here are a few of my favorites!

Beautiful Senior Session…

You know you are getting old when….. I told a few of my friends that I had a “Senior Session” scheduled for this week and they thought “senior citizen” instead of “high school senior”!  But no… she was a beautiful High School Senior— with amazing eyes, awesome clothes– a cool mom– and she’s off to a wonderful school in the fall (Emory– although, if I had gotten to her first I think she would have chosen Vanderbilt! :) )

She has to pick one picture for the “freshman book” by next week–  which I told her was very important for future blind-date setups and sorority rushing!  Ha ha…. Oh, to be in college again.

Anyway… ENJOY:

Week Old Baby boy…

And he was perfect.  He did not want to miss any of the action, so it took a long time to get him to sleep– but we prevailed.  His Mama was the fascinating one– she looked like a million bucks.  Already lost ALL of the baby weight, plus some– how insane is that?  I thought only celebrities did that!  :)  Congrats to the beautiful new family!  You’ll be seeing the little man again with my “Grow with Me” Package…  next time we’ll get the dogs in some!  :)

More adorable twins…

This session was purchased as a gift certificate back at Christmas time… and we had to reschedule a few times because of weather or t-ball games… but we finally got together this weekend and got some amazing shots!  They were SO good– that I didn’t have to even bribe them with the lollipop— and I almost forgot about them until we were walking back to the car!  They were quite happy I remembered– and I hope I didn’t ruin their lunch!

Madi has arrived….

And WOW is she cute!!  (You’ll remember her beautiful Mama from maternity pictures– and my favorite one of her in the bluebonnets just about to pop!)  Madi was SIX days old in these pictures– and a true angel.  We moved her around about every two minutes, but she would just whimper a little bit and go back to sleep.  She’ll appreciate the pictures someday!  :)  And… for anyone who might be getting a birth announcement from Madi’s parents– don’t worry, I am not showing the pictures they are using.  Although, her Mommy did have a hard time deciding!  :)

Congrats to Kathryn & Brad.  You made a beautiful baby!

No… I am NOT becoming a wedding photographer…

BUT… I’ll do it for people I love!  :)  So… my husband’s brother got married in Vegas over the weekend and I was their more “creative” photographer.  They got married in a chapel– so there was a “wedding” photographer there for 30 minutes for the service and then for large group shots afterwards.  I was relieved I didn’t have to try to figure out my flash for those!  :)  I took pictures of the beautiful bride (now my sister-in-law!) as she was getting ready, then right before the wedding, then the happy bride and groom as we made our way from the ceremony to the reception– we got to walk down the strip for about a 1/2 mile snapping pictures anywhere I felt the need!  VERY fun!!  Then I turned my camera onto automatic (yes– even fancy cameras have that!) for the reception pictures… hoping anyone would take pictures with it if they saw the opportunity.  I learned quickly that nobody wanted to touch my “third baby”… so I took them all!  :)  We had the best time the whole weekend.  Congrats to David and Beth… and here is YOUR sneak preview!  :)  I hope this will bring a smile to your faces (and Mama Dee’s too!)

ENJOY:

wedding-7wedding-6wedding-8wedding-9wedding-11wedding-12And… ONLY in Vegas…. walking down the strip– will a girl with a guitar filled with alcohol stop to take a picture with the bride and groom!!  We were a tad worried she might get sick on Beth’s beautiful white dress!

Make up session…

First, little Miss C was sick on the day of our Arboretum session… then my Ryan had to stay home sick from “school” when we reschedule our makeup… so FINALLY we got together last week for this session.  It was a perfect day for it– and we went to a cool spot.  I’ve photographed these two before– and each time I see them they are more and more adorable!!  I hope you love the preview!  I love the shot of the four of them walking.  Can you tell who is in charge there?  Just like my daughter– so it made me laugh!

The blue eyed babies are no longer babies…

But they are still as CUTE as ever!!!  We barely needed the lollipops at the end (although, they did enjoy them).  They were just so good.
