Photo-a-day:Day 3 {Frisco Children Photographer}

Two of my favorite people!

(I had this blog set up to automatically put this photo up yesterday, but it didn’t work… so I’ll do one this morning and one tonight to make up for it!)

Photo-a-day…. Day 2! {Frisco Childrens Photographer}

Ok… I’m going to try to do it– post once a day for a month.  I took a lot of time off in January after the holiday rush– so you’ll probably be seeing lots of pictures of my two… but that is good– it will make me take pictures of them when I normally wouldn’t (their Mimi & Papa will be happy at least!).  So… here is one of a beautiful girl who had just donated her gorgeous curls to “Lock of Love”… what a sweetie pie!

Ice Storm blues…

Being stuck inside for two days with sick kids… and then once they are better having a big ice-storm come and trap us here again is cruel.  But… I took some pictures as we watched a little Nemo… and I thought I’d share.  I’m thinking of trying to do one post per day for the next month.  I saw another photographer do it on her blog and thought it was a good idea.  We’ll see.  I’m not 100% committed to that yet.

One Hot Mama… {Frisco Maternity Photographer}

This 7 month pregnant lady was not 100% sure about having a maternity session (as most preggie women are not)– but I think she’ll be glad she did!  How B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L is she???  I just love her.

It was a cold and rainy day, so we did most of the pictures inside (using my new/favorite backdrop–I’m getting some new ones soon… so I’m sorry if you are tired of this one!).

ENJOY… and I can’t wait to find out what you have and meet him/her!!!!

(This first one I love so much….couldn’t pick between color or B&W– what do you think?  I’m leaning towards the color one because of her amazing green eyes.)

Sweet pups…

We had a little scare with one of our doggies–for four days we thought she had cancer– but we found out it was a benign tumor.  The day I was waiting for the call from the vet the kids started playing with the dogs on my bed (which the dogs are normally banned from, but I was feeling guilty)– and I captured this.  It made my husband and I so sad to look at… UNTIL we got the good news… and now it makes me smile.   We love you Beulah & Leland… even though you suddenly became “dogs” again when the twins were born!

I will be on vacation until Monday– so I will return any calls or emails on Tuesday.  Thanks!

Looking for some big ole bellies…

**Update:  Thanks for your interest… but I have gotten enough Mamas to photograph!!  If I need more in the next few months I will put up another post!**

I am looking for some pregnant Mamas who would be willing to let me photograph them to build up my portfolio a little bit more.  For free.  Free.  As in… no cost.

I will put them on my website in a private on-line gallery for you to view afterwards and you can buy any that you like… I will be putting them on my blog and website–so you must be ok with that.  I do not go for any of those half-naked poses with women wrapped in a sheet or only covering themselves up with their hands (although, I’m not saying anything bad about them)– however, I would prefer volunteers to be willing to show their belly for a few shots.  I’ll post a few of my maternity favorites below.  You should be in your 3rd trimester– and preferably a month to a month and a half shy of delivering at the time of the session.  For any twin mamas who might be reading this– it can be a little earlier!  :)

***ALSO*** Anyone who I pick to do the maternity session will get $75 off a NEWBORN session once the baby is born (so– that makes the session only $75)… What a deal!!!  I still have not gotten around to redoing my pricing (which I am planning to do in 2009), but I will honor this price even after I change the rates.

So… please send me an email if you are interested (betsy@betsymariephotography.com)  I am going to be on vacation from Thursday until Monday– so if I don’t write you back right away don’t panic!

Thanks… and ENJOY:

My sweet babies…

My two were actually in the mood to take pictures (with some jelly bean bribes)…. so I pulled out my new backdrop and shot a few of them cuddling.  I just loved this one and wanted to share.  I think I am going to use it for a Valentine’s Day card… so I’ll post that after I make it.

Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Gerwer Quads! {Dallas Baby Photographer}

The winners of the 2008 contest had their one-year photo session today.  We lucked out with the weather (close to 65), but it was quite windy.  Their mommy had them dressed in the cutest sweaters– she color coordinated everything from the time they were babies so not to confuse their stuff (and probably them)– so these are their colors.  Reid in Yellow, Cameron in Pink, Brady in Green and Trey in Blue.  They are SO cute… about to start walking (LOOK OUT!!!) and probably ready for spring to come so they can get outside more often!  Two of them did not sleep last night, but you can’t tell!  Their mommy is always so worried we didn’t get anything– but of course, we did!  :)

They officially turn one on Friday– so Happy Birthday babies!!!!

ENJOY:

Baby “B” and big sis Reese! {Dallas Baby Photographer}

(If you are looking for the winner of the 2008 Contest– please scroll down!)

I got to return to “Baby B’s” house today to try to capture some pictures of her with her 2 year old big sister… who might be the most active 2-year-old I have ever had the pleasure of meeting!  :)  We got some cute shots of them together, but Baby B finally fell asleep for us this time and we got some amazing shots… I also love the pictures of her awake and perfectly content this time.  She seriously has the most beautiful lips.

So… I’ll be putting a ton of them here because I love almost all of them.  For anyone who might be getting a birth announcement from this family…look away– look away!  :)
