Delaney, Lauren & Olivia… {DFW family photographer in Michigan}

These three girls were SOOO easy… even little Livi. She just followed her two older sisters’ lead. It was adorable. There was a storm coming, so we rushed to get these pictures in and then the storm went somewhere else, so we got to hang out more! My kids LOVED these girls… they played games they have never played before and are still asking with they are coming back!

I’ve known their Mommy (and Daddy!) forever…. it’s so much fun photographing kids of parents I grew up with! I need to come back to Michigan more often because I really love and miss all these friends! OR… you could come visit us in Texas– and I’d probably take a few pictures for you!

I hope you love this preview! Great seeing you all!

PS… I will not be responding to emails until I return to Texas (August 8th)… so please call my cell phone if it is urgent! I’ll update my blog if we have an internet connection!

Michigan Sessions!

Hello! I have finally picked a date for some mini-sessions in Michigan– so please email me (betsy@betsymariephotography.com) with your 1st & 2nd choice and I will get back to you with the exact location. I’ll be having a few FULL sessions (outfit/location changes, $200, more proofs, better for kids who are shy and might not warm up to me in the 30 minutes given for minis)…

Giving is Awesome… Round 2

I had this same contest last year– and got so many wonderful submissions– so I thought I’d do it again for 2009. This is a nationwide event (http://www.givingisawesome.com/).

Here are the details:

Do you know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances? Do you know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season? Do you know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty?

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $1000 worth, to be exact. Whether it’s canvas or albums, prints for Grandma, or a slideshow to watch over and over, it’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $200 credit towards a session fee.

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside in the DFW area. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

Ok… I’ll do weddings too…

Not really…. again, only for family! So– this wedding was a few months ago, but I am just now finished editing her proofs and realized I didn’t put any on my blog!! She was SUCH.A.BEAUTIFUL.BRIDE…. I just have to post a few!! (By the way, it was 110 that day and you can’t even tell by looking at her… me, on the other hand… not so pretty!!)

BIG, happy family session…

These seven children are all cousins… and they are my cousins’ kids! (So the lady on the left is my aunt and to the right is Uncle Bob!) They all came for a visit and a quick mini-session with all the kids before we had some fun time in the lake and on the boat. They are all adorable and so much fun to be around! Ruby Ruby!
