Valentine’s Surprise….

So…. SHHHHHHH if you know this baby’s daddy!  :)   He must not be a blog-stalker– because her mommy told me I could put these here!  (How dare you, Brad!)… Anyway:  Instead of a traditional 9 month session– her Mama decided to pretend like they were not having one and surprise Daddy for Valentine’s Day with some of these shots.   Perfect idea– perfect baby– and (in my opinion) perfectly beautiful pictures of Little Madi-cakes!

Pictures of a birth…

January 15, 2010 – 3:35 pm

(Minus the actual birth…. at least for you to see!)… I had the HONOR of being IN the delivery room for this little baby.  I must say… I was quite nervous.  You only get one shot at these pictures— but I am so happy with how they came out and know Leyla’s parents will be too.

She is AMAZING… her lips… her hair… everything about her.  I can’t wait for her “newborn” session next week (although… you don’t get much more newborn than this!)

Snow baby…

Well… at least that is what he was yesterday (Christmas Eve day… beautiful snowy afternoon)… Loved taking these pictures– and can’t wait to meet little baby Austin very soon!

Remember the “white bikini”?

Well, now it is blue… but equally as cute!

I am sure many of you will remember this first image…. it was one of my first maternity clients… and it took a lot of convincing of future pregnant mamas that I did not make her wear the white bikini– it was her own– and despite the fact that she looked AMAZING in it, I didn’t require it of anyone else! 

Anyway…. her little baby just turned ONE– and look who is going to be a big brother (to a little sister in November)… Last time I photographed her we were on the beach in Florida and this time we were on the beach in Northern Michigan.  The beach is her favorite place to be (and mine), so it is only fitting that her sessions be there!

Little Owen was A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!!!  His eyes… his lips… his demeanor.  I wanted to eat him up.  Suzy– it was great seeing you again and meeting little Owen!  We had such a great time!!!!!

BIG, happy family session…

These seven children are all cousins… and they are my cousins’ kids!  (So the lady on the left is my aunt and to the right is Uncle Bob!)  They all came for a visit and a quick mini-session with all the kids before we had some fun time in the lake and on the boat.  They are all adorable and so much fun to be around!  I was looking for some older kids to photograph– so now I’ve had a taste of how much fun it can be!  :) cheryl-4cheryl-3cheryl-2cheryl-6cheryl-7cheryl-5And one of my new favorites…. look for one of my own children doing this in the next few days!  :)

Beautiful Belly….

This beautiful pregnant girlie is one of my dear friends… we both lived in Chicago at the same time– and bonded quickly when we met both as pharmaceutical reps (yes… that was my previous life!).  I moved to Dallas, she moved to Arizona shortly after… and we’ve only seen eachother once in between those six years because of one of us having a baby (or babies) and our schedules just never overlapping… until last month when we were both in Chicago at the same time!  And… lucky for me, she is pregnant– so even though she DID NOT want her picture taken, I think she is going to love these images– and so will her awesome husband!  Miss you, Darb!  Can’t wait to meet (and photograph) Max’s little sis, Ellie!!

Beautiful Belly…

I loved meeting these two– and we had a perfect day to photograph them.  Not too hot yet that morning, and NOT windy or rainy like it has been so frequently recently.  These two were so laid back and fun to work with– little Lucy, who is growing and hanging out in her Mama’s belly, is one lucky lady.  

A few days before their session I spotted the most beautiful field of orange wild flowers.  I was hoping they’d be game to head there at the end of their session.  Not only were they game, but Erin had the most perfect outfit (and necklace) to go along with the feel.  The shots from that field are by far my favorites!
