Madi {Frisco Baby Photographer}

Besides my own daughter…. I would have to say that this little angel is like my muse.  I love taking pictures of her (even when she is a tiny-bit cranky like she was the night I took this…)  This might be my favorite picture that I’ve taken of Madi yet… and I’ve taken a lot!

Also, below the picture is the last of the fall sessions along with information.  I cut and paste from the post that is way down there because I know some of you were looking for it:

Here are my available dates for the fall as of today.  Please email me with your 1st & 2nd choices and I’ll email you back with a confirmation.  All deposits can be sent via paypal (betsy@betsymariephotography.com) and must be received within 2-3 business days to confirm your spot!

This year there will be a minimum card order of 75 cards.  Flat, folded or tri-fold.  You do not have to order cards, but if you do want them (and have me draw up a proof for you) the minimum is 75.

I’m attempting to have all the sessions in October and early November so I can have all proofs back to you before Thanksgiving.  I tried this last year, but all the rain we had put a wrench in my plans…. so we’ll try again!

Any photos I have taken over the year can also be made into a card.  Please put in your card request before Thanksgiving so I can get it ready for you to proof and send out early!

How could I forget??? {Frisco Traveling Photographer!} :)

So…. my cousins brought all of their kids over for a cookout and to spend some time together back in JULY while we were in Michigan.  I promised them pictures on my blog shortly after… and somehow I forgot!  SO SORRY!  I edited them, had them ready to go and then just never did it.  (This kind of thing would only happen to family members!)  :)  So… these cousins are my cousins’ kids!  They are so cute and fun and my twins had the best time when they were there!

Aunt C, Kelly, Danny & Billy … so sorry!  But I hope you like!  :)

Happy Birthday, Lucy! {Frisco baby photographer}

I’m sure you all remember Lucy as a newborn… she is the one who slept the entire time and gave me a taste of what is possible in the world of newborns when they cooperate!  Well… Lucy just turned one!  I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her many times along this year-long journey and it’s been a ball!  She is adorable… and her mommy has been hoping for some photos with actual smiles for a long time… and I guess she just wanted to wait until she was one to make them even more special, because we got a lot of smiles!  (Thanks mostly to her daddy!… I can’t take the credit this time).

Update… and a preview {Frisco Family Photographer}

I will be posting the HOLIDAY schedule and fall (holiday) mini-sessions sometime soon (hopefully, tomorrow if I can get things back in order after being gone so long!)…. I’ve gotten tons of emails the past week inquiring about it– so I will get on it!  Promise!

Here is a preview for a family who I took pictures up while on vacation “up north”… they were ADORABLE and I loved it!  They came a little bit before sunset and we had some gorgeous light.  The boys were perfect angels… and I just love the feel of all these pics.  How lucky that these three boys get to grow up in such a beautiful spot.  And how lucky to have such amazing parents.  Hope you love them!

Heading back to Texas… {Frisco Family Photographer}

Our 6 1/2 week journey around the midwest is coming to an end…. we are heading south.  Normal “business” will resume on Monday– so I’ll be returning emails and editing all the millions (ok… just thousands) of pictures I took along the way.  Thanks for the patience of everyone waiting on proofs! Those Chicago sessions seem so long ago!  They will come as soon as I possibly can.

Here is a taste of what we’ve been up to… We spent a week “up north”– which is the northern part of Michigan for my non-midwest readers… and it is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.  Amazing sunsets, cool evenings, beautiful days.  I can’t even explain how much I love it– and now how much my twins love it too!  I have many more to share when I have time to actually edit!!  Promise.

Delaney, Lauren & Olivia… {DFW family photographer in Michigan}

These three girls were SOOO easy… even little Livi.  She just followed her two older sisters’ lead.  It was adorable.  There was a storm coming, so we rushed to get these pictures in and then the storm went somewhere else, so we got to hang out more!  My kids LOVED these girls… they played games they have never played before and are still asking with they are coming back!

I’ve known their Mommy (and Daddy!) forever…. it’s so much fun photographing kids of parents I grew up with!  I need to come back to Michigan more often because I really love and miss all these friends!  OR… you could come visit us in Texas– and I’d probably take a few pictures for you!  :)

I hope you love this preview!  Great seeing you all!

PS… I will not be responding to emails until I return to Texas (August 8th)… so please call my cell phone if it is urgent!  I’ll update my blog if we have an internet connection!

Madison & Jack {Frisco Children Photographer}

I put one of the pictures from this session up last night… but here are a few more!  As many moms do, this mom worried that I didn’t get any good shots because they were a tad bit late, a litte bit frazzled and a tiny bit shy… I told her she had nothing to worry about… and I think I was right!  :)

ENJOY!

D-Rock {Texas Family Photographer}

I’ve known this guy forever… and I mean FOREVER.  Pretty much went through all of my childhood knowing him and being friends with him.  I have so many funny memories that include Damien from elementary all the way through high school (and yes, to all my Facebook friends– he was in the band!).  Now he has an amazingly beautiful family– three kids and a very cool wife.  He’s a principal at a local highschool– (which still cracks me up a little bit)… so…Life doesn’t get much better!

Here is a preview of your pictures!  So glad we all got to hang out again today!  Your kids are so sweet and polite.  You both are doing such a great job!  I hope the “slumber” party is going well over there and Mandie gets some sleep tonight!

PS… can you guess where he played football in college?  Mandie was so thrilled about the outfit change!  :)

Part 1 of 3 of a MUCH anticipated post! {Chicago/DFW family photographer!}

I am SO SO SO sorry to all the families who have been patiently waiting for this post.  The 2nd part (with the other families) will be this week!  Promise.  My vacation has gotten away from me… and I forgot how much work having two four year olds at a lake can me (and exhausting), so by the time we get off the lake, in the shower, fed, read to, tucked in and there is finally a moment of quietness– all I want to do is sit on the deck with my parents and take a deep breath!….

But… I had a great day of mini-sessions before we got to Michigan (while we were in Chicago where we were SUPPOSED to see the U2 concert, but instead will be back in 2011 for it… so if you missed out on these sessions, there is always next year!).  I had lots of cute kids and some great moms (and grandmas) there to help at the shoot!  SO… enjoy and I’ll be sure to tell you all when the albums are ready (but at this rate… it will probably be in August after we return to Dallas!).

Sidenote:  Can’t get the pictures to look quite right on this computer that isn’t mine… not sure if it is the screen or the internet.  Anyway, I’m going to post them because they still are adorable, just not looking how they do in photoshop once I post them to the blog… hmmm?

First… the model for my business cards that I’ve had for years (she’s bigger, just as sweet and has an adorable sister… remember them from last year’s Chicago sessions?):

Ruby is model-esque… and so is her sister… but Frances wasn’t quite so thrilled to be in the pictures.  However, I think I captured them well– and love the shots with Mama– one perfectly adorable and the other perfectly real!  :)  Enjoy:

mini-1-copy1blog-51blog-41blog-61And these three were a hoot!  Such personality… and so sweet!  Again, the youngest took some time to warm up… but I got what I needed!

Molly {+2 baby boys}… {Dallas Maternity Photographer}

We had a beautiful morning for this very special photo shoot.  The Mama-to-be is my cousin, Molly…. we grew up in the same town and shared so many fun things together growing up!   It’s so amazing that she is pregnant– and even more so that she is also having twins.  Two boys!  How fun will this house be?  And… how beautiful is this lady?

ENJOY:molblog-3-copymolblog-13-copymolblog-11-copymolblog-9-copymolblog-7-copymolblog-1-copymol-1-copyAnd lastly…. the bikini shot!!!!  How adorable (and brave) and beautiful (and brave) is this soon-to-be-HOT-Mama???  Can’t wait to meet those baby boys in October!
