Heading back to Texas… {Frisco Family Photographer}

Our 6 1/2 week journey around the midwest is coming to an end…. we are heading south.  Normal “business” will resume on Monday– so I’ll be returning emails and editing all the millions (ok… just thousands) of pictures I took along the way.  Thanks for the patience of everyone waiting on proofs! Those Chicago sessions seem so long ago!  They will come as soon as I possibly can.

Here is a taste of what we’ve been up to… We spent a week “up north”– which is the northern part of Michigan for my non-midwest readers… and it is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.  Amazing sunsets, cool evenings, beautiful days.  I can’t even explain how much I love it– and now how much my twins love it too!  I have many more to share when I have time to actually edit!!  Promise.

Delaney, Lauren & Olivia… {DFW family photographer in Michigan}

These three girls were SOOO easy… even little Livi.  She just followed her two older sisters’ lead.  It was adorable.  There was a storm coming, so we rushed to get these pictures in and then the storm went somewhere else, so we got to hang out more!  My kids LOVED these girls… they played games they have never played before and are still asking with they are coming back!

I’ve known their Mommy (and Daddy!) forever…. it’s so much fun photographing kids of parents I grew up with!  I need to come back to Michigan more often because I really love and miss all these friends!  OR… you could come visit us in Texas– and I’d probably take a few pictures for you!  :)

PS… I will not be responding to emails until I return to Texas (August 8th)… so please call my cell phone if it is urgent!  I’ll update my blog if we have an internet connection!

Ella… {Frisco Child Photographer}

This picture I took of my daughter tonight makes me want to cry for some reason… she was watching the corn blowing and actually ok with me taking her picture (which isn’t very common these days).  We are having such a great time in Michigan that I don’t want it to end and I don’t want my babies to grow up so quickly.  I’ll be making this into a canvas.. somewhere big.  Love her.

My new assistant…

Isn’t he cute?  Too bad he doesn’t file, package orders or return calls… just sits in the shade and watches me take pictures while playing games on my i-phone.  The best part is he “ASKED” me to take these pictures before my client showed up… which has never happened (and is any photographers’ dream!).  Enjoy… but don’t expect to be seeing his cute face at your next photo session– it was a one-time thing… and only out of pure necessity!  :)

Nadine & Norah {Frisco Children Photographer}

I am back!!  It’s been longer than normal for me to post some new pictures, but that is because summer has started and things have been crazy!!  My two nieces came for five days– and we had about 30 minutes to squeeze in some photos between a ballet recital, swimming, shopping and water parks!!  I think neither their mom or I sat down for the entire visit– but it was so worth it!

These two could (and should) be models… they just need to talk their Daddy into it!  :)

Chicago Sessions!

I will be in Chicago in July for a limited amount of sessions…. please email me with your 1st and 2nd choice and I will confirm which spot you get.  I’ll try to keep this updated to let you know what is still available!  They seem to be going fast!

Mini-Sessions:  $100 for 25-30 minutes, 15-20 proofs to choose from, one 8X10 included

These will be held somewhere in Wicker or Lincoln Park.

When emailing me for mini-sessions, please give me your first two time choices.

And one photo of “one” of my Texans…. must admit, this was taken inside with a FLASH (the HORROR!) during a little preschool program…. but it is too cute not to share!  I also don’t normally use that Sepia tint, but it seemed to go too well with the theme!

Mother’s Day Gift Idea?

Need another Mother’s Day idea? How about a gift certificate for a photo session with me? What mother (or grandmother) doesn’t want photos of their baby? And— since Mom is usually the one taking all of the pictures, it would be nice to have her IN the picture for once! Email me!

My babies are four… {Frisco Family Photographer}

…and I can’t for the life of me figure out where those four years went.   After years and years (which felt like an eternity) of hoping and praying for one baby- we were blessed with two healthy babies, who turned into two amazing toddlers… who suddenly turned into the two most wonderful and sweet children— all in a BLINK of an eye.

Ella & Ryan… you are both my sunshine and I love you more than you’ll ever know.   Please keep laughing and loving the way that you do.  I wouldn’t change a thing about you!
