I had the honor of photographing a 2nd birth (only a few weeks after the 1st) and this time it was my precious nephew! Christina’s water broke at 2am, contractions started shortly after… so I raced to find people to watch my twins (husband worked yesterday) and then raced to Austin… to wait… and wait… and wait. The sweet little boy was very content where he was and took his time coming out (finally around 10:20 last night)… but it was well worth the wait.
His mama was a CHAMP– not one complaint– took every order the nurse or doctor gave her with almost a smile…. and produced a magnificent 8lb 2oz little boy. Congrats Jeremy & Christina— and thank you for wanting me there! :) By the way— Jeremy was so sweet and supportive the entire process (as you’ll be able to see from the pictures). I could tell he wanted to take on her pain so she wouldn’t have to suffer… so sweet. Newborn session scheduled for next weekend… so back to “Austin” we will go! Here is some of what I captured….
PS… for any photogs wondering: 2.8 f-stop, 1100 ISO… no flash!
ENJOY:
First glance at her son…
Such a proud daddy…
Healthy as can be….
Jeremy’s voice made him so calm…
… and so did holding on to his finger….

Are you my Mommy?….
First family shot…
Such an amazing feeling… the love you can feel for your baby right after you meet him:

I’ve been waiting patiently for these….and as always, you didn’t disappoint. Such beautiful work, yet again.
These are great photos. We’re not biased.
It’s great to have these moments saved for prosperity! My favorite is the photo of Christina finally holding Austin Charles Muchow. Thanks Betsy for not only taking great photos but for sharing in that special moment!
Oh my…such sweetness! Maybe you can do mini sessions in Austin in the future…i’m sure you will be back to see that sweet little face…your twins will just love their new cousin! Brings back memories of the birth of my twins!
These shots are amazing, congratulations Christina and Jeremy!! He’s so beautiful. Bets, it is amazing how you capture these moments. What you described in writing on your blog, you completely captured in your photos. You didn’t even need to write the captions because each picture spoke for itself. I cried. Yet again. So proud of you girl, we’re all so lucky to have you. xoxo
Betsy.
I just now saw the pictures you took at the hospital when my precious baby grandson was born. “Priceless absolutely Priceles” Such a wonderful job. If you could on realize what it means to me as the Grandmother and living so far away there was no way I could be there as bad as I wanted to and you captured the occassion as if I was there in person. You will never know how grateful I am for you being there and for taking the precious pictures. I will be forever grateful. Thanks so much. Paula Casey Jeremy’s Mother.
