And I am not talking about from drinking! I’m talking about a full WEEK of birthday festivities for my twins. We didn’t have a party for them in the fashion that we normally do– instead we took them to Great Wolf Lodge with our dear friends visiting from Chicago. Great Wolf Lodge wears.parents.out…. we recovered just in time for Easter… then two days later their actual birthday. So, very LITTLE editing has been going on… so everyone that I promised a blog post or proofs to– I’m sorry. I am working on it. My sister decided to come to town last minute (FUN!)– and I have not found much office time in weeks. All that will change next week though… so please stay patient with me. I know I’m behind… trying not to stress too much about it!
I didn’t even take my camera to Great Wolf Lodge (with all the water and all)… but I did take some pictures yesterday at a little impromptu birthday celebration after school at my twins’ favorite ice cream spot. After the ice cream I wanted a group shot… and this is what we got. BTW… Ella won. :)

This sweet family met me at one of my favorite parks for some updated family photos. The first thing I heard the dad say to the kids when the mom was still getting things out of the car was…”Ok… so this means a lot to Mommy… let’s try to be on our best behavior and take some nice pictures.” I love that. Dads often are dragged along to these photo sessions and are not so pleased to be there (and it often shots!)…. but not him. He knew this was important for his wife– so he made the best of it. I so appreciate that. The kids did great— actually, really great for their ages when I normally get forced smiles and the constant question of “Are we almost done?”… So… great job, parents! You are raising some beautiful, smart children.

Poor little guys didn’t love being plopped in the middle of the bluebonnets on a sunny afternoon…. especially barefoot. Then their poor Mama lost her phone (and was never to be found again)… HOWEVER, despite the madness… I still love the pictures. These short sessions are hard for this age because they barely get to warm up to me before it is over… but the short (but sweet) interaction between the boys was so adorable.

“I do Films” made a video of my sister’s wedding and I have to share it because it is so amazing. If you are getting married (EVER) you have to check them out. Their website is: http://www.idofilms.net. My new brother-in-law’s step-sister is co-owner of I do Films… so we were blessed with having them there all weekend to be part of the wedding and to film it. Matt & Lori… you are AMAZING!!!! A lot of the footage is from my little session with Katy & Kevin the morning after the wedding (see 2 posts below)… I’m so glad we worked that out!
