As soon as her mom found out this secret, I started creating this card in my head… and it came out exactly how we wanted it… It has to be my favorite card this year– and how could it not. Ava’s mom is one of my very best friends who I love to pieces (and Ava t00..oh yes, and of course Matt)… and the excitement and joy of this announcement made me giddy. But it’s official… they were mailed last week, so the news has broken (and when the Frisco mailman delivered the mail on Saturday you all probably heard her cell phone ringing from around the country!!!!)

I am going to start posting holiday cards I’ve made over the past two months… Trying not to post them until I know they have been mailed out so I don’t ruin the surprise. So, here it goes… I’ll try to do one a day or maybe every other day until I catch up! :)

… and I’m pretty sure he’s not as cute as these two! This was a quick mini-session a few weeks ago… the sun setting made for some pretty cool light and we had fun running around “my” field! :) I was warned that this little guy is hard to capture… but we got a ton! Love the hats and the props Mama brought!!

Sweet Julianna (pictured in the middle between her loving sisters)… passed away on Monday. She had a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (please see website for more information: http://www.fsma.org/. There is no cure for this horrible disease and her Mommy, Lori, is trying hard to change that. Lori is co-owner of an amazing videography company (http://www.idofilms.com) and is trying to bring awareness to SMA. Please check out the SMA website and keep this family in your thoughts. I took their pictures on a warm summer day at their house outside Chciago… Julianna’s sisters were running around laughing and making her laugh as well. We got some amazing shots, but this was one of my favorites. In the hammock… relaxing and enjoying the day.
