I photographed this little guy when he was about the age of his sister… so I was very excited to see this family again!  They are both so sweet… they were not so sure about me at first, but they loosened up when the lollipops came out!  Great seeing you all again (and meeting little A)!

I did a few of these in the vintage-look… just felt the vibe!  :)

Little Jackson… all 5.14 lbs of him… sweet little boy who likes to curl up like a frog and always has his hands by his face (even in the womb).  His parents are in heaven with him even though he has his days and nights reversed… especially Mommy who couldn’t take her eyes off of him.  I hope you love the photos of your new little baby– and I’ll send you your full album in a few weeks!

Last week I attended a workshop by the uber-talented Barb from Jinkyart. She R-O-C-K-S… and taught me so, so, so much in the short 3 days we spent together.  She motivated me to be more creative and to focus on the photography that I really love to do and less of what I have “not-been-feeling” so much of…. so, as I said on facebook:  2011 will be a big change!  So look out!  I will be announcing an additional holiday session that will focus on my “new” self… it will be in early November and it will go fast, so look for it!  I had so many people ask me why I didn’t tell them I was booking up for the holidays– well, because there are too many people to tell!  So I’ll be announcing it on facebook sometime tomorrow or Monday…. .

Here are some shots I took at the workshop.  We had a ton of models come through and I loved watching Barb work and also the other 11 photogs who were there with me!  It was difficult for us all to get photos– imagine 13 women with gigantic cameras all wanting in on the same thing… it was quite amusing.  I wasn’t so interested in building my portfolio, but more about learning as much as I could.  I did, however, make some great new friends (and even ran into someone I knew in highshool who lives in LA and was having her three children model for us– small world??)

Well…. I am back from California and so excited about the workshop I attended for three days.   There will be a TON of new things happening in 2011… so stay tuned.  I wish I could implement everything I want to do right now, but it will have to happen slowly!  New blog-site, new logo, new everything (but still awesome pictures!)  :)

So, before my workshop started I got to stay with a dear friend and her family.  This is Maeve and her pregnant Mommy…. Loved every second with them.  She’s a gooooorgeous baby (and do you remember Jennie from maternity shots from when she was pregnant with Maeve?)… well, she is equally as gorgeous this time around, but what I loved is that you can tell in all these photos how IN LOVE she is with her daughter.

I learned some new photography editing techniques, so I am playing with them in these photos.  I’ll work on some of the photos from the workshop soon and post them here!

These adorable kids (4 & 6) warmed up to me so quickly– and they were absolute dolls.  They hung in there for about an hour— which is pretty good for this age… and I got a ton of pics!  I’ll post a bunch here (partly because I told their Mom how backed up on editing right now, and don’t want her to have to wait to see some of these!)…  The kids’ eyes were so much fun to photograph– beautiful and sparkly– and we had an absolutely gorgeous (I mean GOR-GEOUS) morning to do these photos.  Loving the “fall” weather– but know the heat will be back before it really becomes fall in Texas!
