I have to take a break from solely editing arboretum pictures and show you one I took of my two today.  They BEGGED me to take their picture with their bunny ears on… and that is a very RARE request when Mommy is a photographer.  So… I scurried to find my camera, got them together and shot away.  It lasted all of 45 seconds… but it was great while it did!  :)  (PS, Ella demanded she keep on her yellow headband so she could be “fancy bunny”… maybe we are reading a little too much “Fancy Nancy?”)

We had a great time at our mini-sessions on Sunday!  It was a tad chilly (especially for the cute spring outfits everyone wanted to sport!), but we made it work!  Thanks to my assistant, Abbey…. she did a great job helping out!  Here is a preview for the families who participated!  See the rest of you this week!  :)

Vacation Over.  Arboretum in FULL gear!  I spent almost three whole days out there… and going back for more tomorrow and Wednesday!  It is really gorgeous right now (even after the snow!)– so go out if you are in the DFW area and enjoy the sunshine, beautiful flowers and amazing aroma that is happening right now!  It usually doesn’t last long… but don’t fear– then the bluebonnets will be blooming!  :)

Anyway– my first Arboretum session was with these two fantastic girls!  They were SO good… as in REALLY, REALLY good… they looked at my camera, smiled, laughed, jumped, ran… everything that makes for a wonderful session.  I have way too many pictures to choose from… but here are a few I pulled as I was going through them!  More to come to Mama soon!

My two nieces (who are 6 year old twins) joined us for six days during our family vacation… we had THE best time with them– and I took 30 minutes to have a mini-session with them one evening before we went out to dinner.  They are absolutely adorable girls– and have the sweetest souls you could ever imagine.  I want them to come stay with us for the whole summer!

Anyway… you’ll see what I mean.  Enjoy:

Well… I am back from our extended vacation with  my parents… and trying to return emails, unpack, organize for the craziness of “Dallas Blooms” and bluebonnets that is coming upon me starting tomorrow…. BUT first… we had to spend some time with my sweet baby nephew, Austin,  who is in town for a few days.  My kids had not met him (even though I have been to Austin twice to photograph his birth and do his newborn pics).   So… here are a few of his 6 1/2 week session (the perks of being related to a photographer, I guess!)
