Betsy Marie

This beautiful pregnant girlie is one of my dear friends… we both lived in Chicago at the same time– and bonded quickly when we met both as pharmaceutical reps (yes… that was my previous life!).  I moved to Dallas, she moved to Arizona shortly after… and we’ve only seen eachother once in between those six years because of one of us having a baby (or babies) and our schedules just never overlapping… until last month when we were both in Chicago at the same time!  And… lucky for me, she is pregnant– so even though she DID NOT want her picture taken, I think she is going to love these images– and so will her awesome husband!  Miss you, Darb!  Can’t wait to meet (and photograph) Max’s little sis, Ellie!!

I loved meeting these two– and we had a perfect day to photograph them.  Not too hot yet that morning, and NOT windy or rainy like it has been so frequently recently.  These two were so laid back and fun to work with– little Lucy, who is growing and hanging out in her Mama’s belly, is one lucky lady.  

A few days before their session I spotted the most beautiful field of orange wild flowers.  I was hoping they’d be game to head there at the end of their session.  Not only were they game, but Erin had the most perfect outfit (and necklace) to go along with the feel.  The shots from that field are by far my favorites!

I know many of you are waiting to see some previews of your sessions… so I am going to put as many as I can up here by Friday…  My twins turn THREE this weekend– so I am juggling about a gazillion things all at once.  Thanks for your patience!

I had so much fun meeting all the new people I photographed last weekend– and also seeing all the people I’ve met before!  Thanks for being so awesome to work with!  Check back tomorrow and also check your emails for some galleries that I just sent out!  Thank goodness for great nappers!

Before I go wrap some presents or decorate some cupcakes (ha!)… here are two I have to post of my dear friend, Kathryn, who is about to POP!  Thank you to you and Brad for helping me out during the bluebonnet madness!!!  These shots were taken at the end of a very long day… and right before sunset.

For the next shot… she didn’t move at all, I just moved to the other side of her and shot into the sunset.  Such different kinds of pictures… but I love them both!   Isn’t she STUNNING pregnant?  We’re counting down the days until baby M makes her debut (if she comes on her scheduled c-section date, it will be on her Mama’s birthday)– and she was DUE on her Daddy’s birthday a week later.  How sweet is that?  Do you think you’ll see some shots of her on here?  :)

More beautiful pregnant women… and both of them dear friends of mine.  Out of nine girls in Austin to celebrate a wedding— 3 were pregnant (but one is too small to photograph– luckily she lives in Dallas– right, Kristen?)  Anyway, these two are not as big as I like my preggie-women to be when I photograph them, but they pushed it out a bit for me!  :)   These were taken in about five minutes before we went in “The Salt Lick” for the Rehearsal Dinner (except for the bed-shot).  I think the parking attendants thought we were crazy, but we got what we were looking for.  Miss you both already!

I want to thank everyone for a wonderful 2008.  This was my first “official” year as “Betsy Marie Photography”—and I met a lot of wonderful people (and beautiful children) and learned a whole lot!

I have decided to have a little contest… Please vote on your favorite picture out of my favorites from the past year!  I was going to put my favorite picture from each session, but then I realized how many sessions I had and just thought it was too many!  So– if you don’t see your child’s picture below it is simply because I didn’t have room (or enough time!) to put ALL of my favorites!  :)
