The first session of 2011. Beautiful winter day…one gorgeous mama, two awesome kids, one happy daddy (at the Rose Bowl) and one lucky soon-to-be-born baby girl! She doesn’t have a name yet– but look for her newborn photos soon! If anyone living in HOUSTON is interested in a photo session, I will be there in mid-February. Email me! As soon as her mom found out this secret, I started creating this card in my head… and it came out exactly how we wanted it… It has to be my favorite card this year– and how could it not. Ava’s mom is one of my very best friends who I love to pieces (and Ava t00..oh yes, and of course Matt)… and the excitement and joy of this announcement made me giddy. But it’s official… they were mailed last week, so the news has broken (and when the Frisco mailman delivered the mail on Saturday you all probably heard her cell phone ringing from around the country!!!!)

Well…. I am back from California and so excited about the workshop I attended for three days. There will be a TON of new things happening in 2011… so stay tuned. I wish I could implement everything I want to do right now, but it will have to happen slowly! New blog-site, new logo, new everything (but still awesome pictures!) :)
So, before my workshop started I got to stay with a dear friend and her family. This is Maeve and her pregnant Mommy…. Loved every second with them. She’s a gooooorgeous baby (and do you remember Jennie from maternity shots from when she was pregnant with Maeve?)… well, she is equally as gorgeous this time around, but what I loved is that you can tell in all these photos how IN LOVE she is with her daughter.
I learned some new photography editing techniques, so I am playing with them in these photos. I’ll work on some of the photos from the workshop soon and post them here!

Or in this case… little ole belly! This beauty was 35 weeks pregnant in these shots… and I swear she looked like she was about 28. She has been on bedrest, so I fully expected her to be much larger since she wasn’t able to be up and about. Boy, was I wrong! (In the first two shots, I had to tell her to stick her belly out a bit so she looked MORE pregnant!!) We couldn’t get too creative with locations since she’s not allowed to leave her house, so we just made it work! Hope you love… and I can’t wait to photograph like Jackson!

These three girls were SOOO easy… even little Livi. She just followed her two older sisters’ lead. It was adorable. There was a storm coming, so we rushed to get these pictures in and then the storm went somewhere else, so we got to hang out more! My kids LOVED these girls… they played games they have never played before and are still asking with they are coming back!
I’ve known their Mommy (and Daddy!) forever…. it’s so much fun photographing kids of parents I grew up with! I need to come back to Michigan more often because I really love and miss all these friends! OR… you could come visit us in Texas– and I’d probably take a few pictures for you!
