How could I not enter the contest this week? My twins started KINDERGARTEN this year… sniff sniff… And I took this photo in one of my favorite places on EARTH– “Up North” in Michigan. Truly a magical spot… and this mini-session I did with my twins was truly magical too. ENJOY!

My twins start KINDERGARTEN tomorrow. I thought I was doing ok with the idea… but the last two days I’ve been so incredibly sad. I know that I”ll have more free time and will be less stressed (well, I hope)… but I am going to miss them. They crack me up every.single.day. And despite their “moments” as 5 year olds, they are some really amazing little people. They are so sweet to eachother (most of the time) and ask so many thoughtful and quite amazing questions (sometimes too much of the time). I just can’t believe they are this old. So… while “up north” last week, we had a little photo session to send them off in style! Love what we came up with (Thanks mom, dad and Katy for your help!!)
So… Happy Back-to-School Season to all of you moms and dads out there. Hold the tears in until the teacher at least closes the door!

Birthday Hangover….

And I am not talking about from drinking!   I’m talking about a full WEEK of birthday festivities for my twins.  We didn’t have a party for them in the fashion that we normally do– instead we took them to Great Wolf Lodge with our dear friends visiting from Chicago.  Great Wolf Lodge wears.parents.out…. we recovered just in time for Easter… then two days later their actual birthday.  So, very LITTLE editing has been going on… so everyone that I promised a blog post or proofs to– I’m sorry.  I am working on it.  My sister decided to come to town last minute (FUN!)– and I have not found much office time in weeks.  All that will change next week though… so please stay patient with me.  I know I’m behind… trying not to stress too much about it!

I didn’t even take my camera to Great Wolf Lodge (with all the water and all)… but I did take some pictures yesterday at a little impromptu birthday celebration after school at my twins’ favorite ice cream spot.  After the ice cream I wanted a group shot… and this is what we got.  BTW… Ella won.  :)
